About ferrywhere, the independent ferry departures board
What ferrywhere is
ferrywhere is an independent departures board for ferries in Europe. For every route and port it shows the official timetable, today's sailings with an honest status and, where AIS reaches, where the ships actually are.
Countries covered today: France, United Kingdom, Spain, Denmark. Languages: English, Français, Español, Dansk, Deutsch.
Independent, and no tickets
ferrywhere doesn't sell tickets and isn't linked to any ferry company, port or travel agency. To buy a ticket, we send you to the operator's own website.
How it is funded
Today ferrywhere earns nothing: no advertising, no affiliate links, no paid placements.
In the future it will be funded by advertising and by links to ferry companies. They will always be labelled as such, and they will never change what the departures board shows.
Who is behind it
ferrywhere is an independent ferry information project, developed and maintained by a private individual. The publisher's full identification details are available to anyone with a legitimate interest and to the competent authorities, on request at info@ferrywhere.com.
Our rules
- Real data only: when a piece of information is missing, the page doesn't show it.
- A sailing is “on time” only when a measurement says so.
- Every live figure shows its source and the time of the data.
- Sources, licences and thresholds are listed on the methodology page.
